Tŷ Newydd (meaning New House, when it was built in
1800)
is situated in Llangower, a small village within Snowdonia National
Park, beneath the Berwyn Mountains. Our cottage is an 18th century
country cottage that we have recently restored. It sits just 50
metres from the shoreline of Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake), Wales’
largest natural lake, across from the Llyn Tegid steam railway,
which run up and down the five mile length of the lake’s shore,
from Llanuwchllyn to Bala, the local town.
Surrounded by spectacular scenery, the local
area is perfect for a relaxing hideaway, or an activity-packed break
for the family.
