Whether you enjoy walking across mountains, white-water
rafting or painting landscapes and castles, Tŷ Newydd is the perfect
retreat.
Travel around one of the country’s favourite
walking centres,
or view the scenic routes horseback or in the car. Make the most
of the water-sports available on the Lake. Or just take in the beautiful
scenes on one of the National Park’s public walking trails.
Alternatively, an hour’s drive from Llangower
will provide all the attractions that North Wales has to offer.
Towards the West coast of Wales, and you’ll
find the coastal towns of Criccieth, Porthmadog, and the Italian-style
village of Portmeirion; made famous by the television series
‘The Prisoner’, starring Patrick McGoohan.
In the opposite direction, and you’ll drive
through the musical town Llangollen, and onto Chester, the Roman
city great for shopping and ancient culture.
Whatever you decide to do during the day you
can return to
Tŷ Newydd’s warm, homely environment, and rest your tired
feet in front of the wood burner.
